Changes to the North TEL Support team

The North TEL Support team are now moving to the Supporting TEL team at Health Education England from 1 April 2022.

Current systems and support will not change but will be expanded to cover all of NHS England.

Keep a look out for our new team name and our new contact details which will be released shortly.  There will be an overlap of existing and new contact processes however we recommend that you update our details as soon as you can.

HEE TEL Forums

“An introduction to creating effective video drama for learning” – 16 March 2022, 10.00 am GMT

The HEE TEL team are pleased to offer you another opportunity to attend the watch and learn session “An introduction to creating effective video drama for learning”  delivered by Tom Hickmore. Tom has been making video drama for learning for 35 years and has worked across many sectors, including healthcare. The session will provide the opportunity for Tom to share his wealth of knowledge and experience.

What you’ll learn from this session:

  • How to avoid common mistakes when using drama for learning
  • The key features of good quality drama for learning and an introduction to design approaches
  • Storytelling and story structure theory
  • How to produce drama for learning, including practicalities around budget, resources required, and casting actors
  • How drama has been used in healthcare settings (case study examples).
