HEE (North) Stakeholder event – rescheduled – save the date

We are happy to announce the HEE (North) Stakeholder Event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 7 October at the Renaissance Hotel, Manchester. Please save the date as this promises to be another great event. More details in future digests.

Help others by sharing resources

With the decrease in face to face training due to Covid 19 many Trusts are exploring new ways to deliver training and rapidly create new courseware.
Rather than others spending valuable time developing training materials, do you have content that you are willing to share? In the North we have the North Course Catalogue with a wide range of content, including locally based material that can be shared; however, you may have something that may be useful during this extraordinary period that might lighten someone’s workload. If we all contribute to the wider the range of subject matter; there is a greater chance that there may be something you can use. We are not just looking for content on dealing with infectious diseases, although that would be brilliant, we are looking for ways to bring to life content that is traditionally done face to face like manual handling or listening skills.

If you have content or even a few tips and tricks we’d love to hear from you. We will collect all this information and share it with the NHS community in future digests.

You can email us at yas.elearningsupport@nhs.net or if you there is too much for an email give us a call on 01904 666003.

e-lfH – Coronavirus (COVID-19) programme

This programme has been created by Health Education England e-Learning for Healthcare (HEE e-LfH) in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic. The programme includes key materials to help the health and care workforce respond to Coronavirus.

Initially, the Coronavirus programme will include limited resources, but we will add more content in the coming days and weeks. The additional content will include new content and content curated from different sources such as existing HEE e-LfH sessions and other resources from organisations such as NHS England and NHS Improvement or the World Health Organization (WHO).

‘Signs of life’

‘Signs of life’ is a training simulation game for nurses to practice the procedures and routines for medical observations, and to experience the everyday distractions of busy clinical care, over time, in a safe virtual environment.
The game is based around the National Early Warning Score (NEWS2) chart. If it’s not something you use every day you might want to have a look at these thresholds and triggers and clinical responses to a patient’s score.
